You've me Becky and Mike. First for their engagement session and then for their family shoot.
I am honoured to call this couple, this family, my friends.
Becky and Mike had been planning their wedding for a while; with four kids and work and family to plan around, Becky and Mike found themselves stressed and changing plans for their big day time and time again. Then one day {I believe it was a Thursday}, out of the blue, I receive a call from Becky: "We're getting married!..... On MONDAY!"
Yes, she meant the Monday immediately following that weekend! Ever the romantic, and truly one who appreciates different and unique nuptials, I personally thought it was awesome! "Of course I'll be there!" Not only was I lucky enough to share in their special day and capture it on film, I also got to sign the registry {something I have never done aside from on my own marriage certificate almost 2 years ago.}
Their beautiful wedding, which took place at the lovely Kitchener City Hall, was so full of love and so beautiful in it's simplicity, authenticity, and comfortability. There was nothing contrived or planned about it. In fact, their littlest guy, Isaiah, got so upset when Mike went to put him down during the ceremony, that he actually held him the whole time! Whilst this received many laughs and the occasional grunt of frustration, I am sure that looking back on it they will both agree that it was just perfect. So perfect in fact, that as soon as Becky put the ring on Mike's finger, little Isaiah sat playing with it on his finger... I couldn't have been happier to have captured this moment!!!
